This year's convention was held October 18-20 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tulsa Warren Place. The convention started with a Golf Tournament on October 17th. The AFL-CIO also provided the delegates with a Labor Banquet, that included a comedian as the night's entertainment, on October 19th. This year was also the Election of Officers where all of the incumbents were reelected for another term.
The Convention was packed with information on Organizing, Labor Tools, Industry Solutions, and more! Tulsa Area Local 1348 was represented by Cynthia McNeilance, Taron Overose, and Loretta Hackman.
Taron Overose also spoke on an a convention resolution calling for constitutional amendment creating a "young worker organization" of the AFL-CIO and that the mission of the
Young Engaged Labor Leaders, recognized as the OK YELL, shall be to empower the next generation of labor leaders to challenge, inspire, build and organize around issues that directly affect their generation.
